We moved the GrabIt Search to new servers last night. The GrabIt Search should be a lot more responsive now. We wil keep watching and tweaking the configuration in the next couple of days to make maximum use of the new hardware. So performance should be improving even more.
As always, if something is not working, just hit the support button on the left and let us know. Happy grabbing!

We are switching to a new support environment. Your requests should come in quicker and get a response sooner. We are also working on the Help Center adding new FAQs depending on what kind of questions are coming in.
Besides that work on GrabIt 2.0 is moving along. People who signed up to get an early development preview should be getting one next month.

The new servers are working better than expected. The GrabIt Search now enables you to search all Usenet posts made since January 2009. And it is doing it faster than it used to do with only 2 years of retention. To get the best out of this new speed, you should download the latest version of GrabIt available on the home page.

We added a few new servers into the GrabIt Search server park. This will increase the speed of the searches and will enable us to increase the search retention. We will start increasing the search retention slowly next week to see what it does with performance. If all goes well by the end of next month you will be able to search back to January 2009.
